William Armstead Claytor was born in 1849 in Franklin County, Virginia. His parents were Harvey Claytor and Letitia. He married Judith Ann Guerrant Reynolds (1854-1930) in 1874. He died in 1939 in Roanoke, Virginia. Traces ancestors, descendants and allied lines in Virginia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Michigan and elsewhere.
