White County, Tennessee originally encompassed all of what is now Warren County, as well as parts of the counties of Cannon, Coffee, De Kalb, Franklin, Grundy, Putnam, and Van Buren. The 2,000 marriages in this book, as the title indicates, are the oldest on record.
