This is the account of a researcher who fought to let the facts speak for themselves in the midst of heated arguments within the UFO community. This is the memoir of an adult who found a few answers to the UFO mystery but in the process came face to face with dozens of new questions. This is REFLECTIONS OF A UFO INVESTIGATOR by Kevin Randle. Philip Mantle is one of the UK's best known UFO researchers. He entered into UFO research and investigation in 1980 when he joined the Yorkshire UFO Society (YUFOS) which had its HQ in the city of Leeds, West Yorkshire, just a few miles from where he lived. In later years he would go on to join the British UFO Research Association (BUFORA) and the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). In 2015 he founded Flying Disk Press, a one man book publishing endeavour which has now published over 30 books. During his time as an active UFO researcher and investigator Mantle has been involved with a wide variety of UFO cases including UFOs caught on camera, alien abductions, a wide variety of UFO sightings, hoaxes and assisting in the analysis of debris from an alleged UFO crash. Most of his investigations have of course been in the UK but he has also been involved in UFO cases from Hungary, Australia, Russia, China and Cyprus. He is probably best known for his long running investigation into the Alien Autopsy Film hoax and the Pascagoula, Mississippi, alien abduction. He is the author of a number of books some of which have been published in a variety of languages. This book sees the author delve into many of the cases he has been involved with and most of them in book form for the first time. The book is also fully illustrated with photos, artwork, maps, newspaper cuttings and official documentation. UFO REFLECTIONS is just that, a reflection on some of the work by Philip Mantle.

Exploring the relevance of Jungian theory as it applies to science fiction, horror and fantasy films, this text demonstrates the remarkable correlation existing between Jung's major archetypes and recurring themes in various film genres. An introduction acquaints readers with basic Jungian theory archetypes before proceeding to film analysis. A diverse selection of movie and television summaries illustrate the relationship between a particular Jungian image and the examined films. Among the various Jungian patterns studied are the father archetype, the split between persona and shadow, the search for the grail, the alchemist traveler, and the development of the child archetype. From Star Wars and Planet of the Apes to Back to the Future and Indiana Jones, the interdependence of Jungian theory and film themes and contents unfold. Creative and innovative, this text unearths new Jungian territory that will appeal not only to psychology and film studies scholars and researchers, but also to those studying communication and literature.
