The conversion of Cardinal Newman, an educated, renown Anglican, gave respectability to converting to Catholicism in England. Recusant Catholics had been treated as social outcasts and persecuted when the English monarchy outlawed the practice of the true faith. Hence the Catholic hierarchy rejoiced when Cardinal Newman broke the ice for many Anglicans to enter the Church and eloquently defended the Catholic faith. Yet, heroes are still human, and converts to the Church are practically unable to completely discard their non-Catholic mindset simply by their baptism. All this made the Catholic hierarchy both in Rome and in England both praise and fear this newly adopted son. How could his Protestant mindset be criticized and he still be used as a showpiece of Catholic respectability? Cardinal Newman's theory of the development of doctrine, along with his other ideas that were controversial during his time, are herein analyzed by renown theologians and an equally literary Catholic, Orestes Brownson. On the other hand Newman's famous biographer, Wilfred Ward, made the Cardinal an untouchable anti-liberal to traditionally minded Catholics, yet an avian guard liberal pioneer to liberal Catholics, including the very founders of the school of Modernism. Even if it can be argued that Newman act in good faith, what is not generally known is that he formed his own school of thought within the Church favoring a mutability of Catholic doctrine, seemingly adopted and acclaimed by the Second Vatican Council.

Forrest and Gross expose the scientific failure, the religious essence, and the political ambitions of "intelligent design" creationism. They examine the movement's "Wedge Strategy," which has advanced and is succeeding through public relations rather than through scientific research. Analyzing the content and character of "intelligent design theory," they highlight its threat to public education and to the separation of church and state.

Trojan Horse Religion is a book explaining in extreme detail how Progressive Liberalism is a surreptitious religion. This timely book analyzes & explains the ways that this current ideology thinks, acts, and looks like a religion from an historical, psychological, anthropological, and sociological standpoint. It should be eye-opening to see how this religion masquerades as a political ideology & operates against traditional believers on an unequal playing field because, unlike the adherents of mainstream religions, they are not "separated" from the State. Hezekiah Kantor has been writing political and social commentary since he was a student at an Ivy League University. Since then, he has been published by the National Association of Scholars, American Thinker, LifeSiteNews, RealClearPolicy, and American Greatness. He is a National Board Certified Teacher with over a decade of experience in the public schools, as well as a coach & a teacher of the year in one of the school districts where he previously worked; Mr. Kantor used this experience to discuss various ways that this pseudo-religion has touched his own professional life. There are few books which have argued this topic as deeply and extensively as this book does. Coming just before the next election, this book will help people understand the coming battles with a newer, more fully developed understanding of what drives the political Left.

What's wrong with Natural Family Planning? Taking a Catholic perspective on the subject, Dr. Jay Boyd explains that the use of NFP to avoid pregnancy is often promoted as "God's family planning". But is using NFP to prevent pregnancy really trusting God? If we take control of spacing births, how can be sure this is "God's plan", and that the children came "in God's time"? And most people fail to "read the fine print" that says that NFP is to be used only when a couple has serious reasons for avoiding pregnancy. The reason many people think of NFP as "Catholic birth control" is because that's how it is used by many well-meaning couples. Claiming that a couple using NFP is "open to life" while they abstain from sex during the woman's fertile period in order to intentionally avoid pregnancy - well...that's a contradiction in terms. It can easily be argued that using NFP to avoid pregnancy is an expression of a lack of trust in God's will and provision. It's an active effort on the part of the couple to second-guess God's timing for the family's new members. Dr. Boyd takes a close, objective look at NFP from the standpoint of the teaching of the Catholic Church. She examines the basic problems with NFP, along with its philosophical underpinnings; and she delves into the important concepts of marital chastity and trust in Divine Providence.
