The book narrates the Tribal Freedom Movements which took place in various regions of India during the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Some of the agitations were launched for restoring their traditional right in lands and forests and for securing concessions from the Indian rulers. This handbook explores the diversity of religious practice in tribal cultures in India.
