The NASA TIROS III Meteorological Satellite launched on July 12, 1961, carried a medium resolution, five-channel, scanning radiometer. This Catalog describes the mapping procedures which have been employed in processing the TIROS II and III medium-resolution radiation data utilizing 'Final Meteorological Radiation (magnetic) Tapes' and automatic data-processing equipment. Radiation grid-print maps are presented for five specific study cases from the TIROS III data. Supplemental surface and upper-air analyses and TIROS III television pictures are included for some of the cases. An index of all existing Final Meteorological Radiation Tapes for TIROS III is included.
