This poetry book was written on the way to Florida for Spring break. We went to a place we'd been before - an island near Yulee, Florida. We drove through South Carolina and Georgia to get there. The weather was great - we spent a good deal of time by the pool, my favorite place to be! Sitting on the beach, I enjoyed watching all the planes fly over and I also liked getting up to see the sunrise - it was spectacular. Our dog is a good travel buddy. He loves running on the beach, watching the waves, and visiting the very dog friendly, The Fountain of Youth. He takes it all in stride. For the first time, we tried fishing on the Fishing Bridge and also mini golf with an odd assortment of interesting hole plays. The south offers many opportunities for interesting travel adventures. Thanks for coming along with us for the ride!

I always hate leaving our pets at home when we travel. Last year, our dog sitter cancelled - it was the holidays and we had no choice but to take our family pet with us. Our dog was thrilled to be taken along. Since he was a pup, our dog has learned to travel with us. He is a good little travel buddy. No matter where we are, he always makes sure to keep his pack together! These poems are dog friendly, pet friendly odes to what we did on vacation with our dog - it's amazing the things you can find an experience once your parameters are changed to ones that must include (or must love) dogs! Woof, woof!

A dog-owner's bible for a wealth of fun, welcoming and quirky adventures in the UK and Ireland. A staggering one third of British households now own a dog as a pet, meaning dog-friendly days out and weekend trips are becoming ever more popular. Finding reliable and comprehensive information on dog-friendly activities, though, is getting harder thanks to the deluge of online content, much of which doesn't offer in-depth information on the kinds of things dog owners need to know. Dog Days Out solves that problem, offering 365 ideas for things to do around the UK with your four-legged friend, such as long rambles in the countryside, brilliant beaches to play fetch on, and exciting attractions and quirky accommodation options. From the rugged countryside of Ireland and Northern Ireland to the beaches of Cornwall, Kent and the Scottish Highlands, plus castles, country houses and cracking walks to be had in between, this book will provide an abundance of ideas for an hour, half a day or a whole day out to suit all weathers. Gorgeous maps and beautiful photography make this both an aspirational and endlessly useful read. The long list of brilliant activities is accompanied by essential practical information for dog owners, such as local bylaws, rules for dogs, wildlife to be aware of, safety tips, solo travel with dogs, activities with reactive dogs, and accessible dog days out.

Every year an estimated 15 million people travel with their dogs. In recent years, mercifully, it has become much easier to do so with more and more lodging facilities becoming pet-friendly. But what happens when you actually want to leave the hotel room with your dog? Our national parks are notoriously unfriendly to dogs. Of the more than 1,500 public beaches in the United States more than half don't allow dogs at all and most of the rest have some sort of restrictions. But there are rewarding outdoor vacations to be had out there that can include your dog. This book is not about traveling with your dog to tiny, fenced in dog parks or disappearing into the wilderness; it is about places you want to see, and taking your dog to share your fun. So, plan that next vacation with your dog, grab that leash and get going!
