We love Arizona and all the natural beauty and historical sights that one can enjoy. Nothing, however, has been as captivating for us as the wild horses that roam the Salt River. This small herd of feral horses that can be found along the Salt River and surrounding area are so special to us that we look forward each and every time we get to spend a day or just a few hours with them. They are like our friends, family and loved ones. We are delighted to be in their company, interested in what is taking place with them and feel happiness and sadness for the things of life that take place for them. We are also pleased that many others feel an affection for them and that great efforts have been put forth to protect these noble creatures for all of us to enjoy for many years to come.

In a little over four years, author Carolina Esguerra Colborn and her husband traveled almost a hundred thousand miles to forty-nine American states, nine Canadian provinces, and six Mexican states. In Carolina: Cruising to an American Dream, she offers fascinating facts about irresistible places, surprising insights about unique encounters, and useful guides borne out of their experience. A former jet-setting Filipina executive, Carolina also shares her American dream, a story of retirement, immigration, and love. At fifty-five, she immigrated to the United States and four years later became a new bride to an American businessman. Together, theyve created an extensive travel bucket list, crisscrossed North America four times, and blogged about a cruising lifestyle. Carolina: Cruising to an American Dream tells how Carolina discovered America from within the cozy confines of an RV with lessons that came as fast as scenes changed. She not only learned to be a wife without losing her identity, but also to be an American without losing her roots. But, most of all, she learned about the beauty of America and her people, past, present, and future.

Gorgeous photographs and an evocative text sing the praises of a real-life herd of wild horses running free in Arizona, in this ode to the beauty of these glorious creatures. Between one breath and the next, / the Wild Horses appear. Gliding through trees, / weaving between cactus and rock. In beautiful poetry and vivid photographs, Melissa Marr shares her feelings of awe while watching a real-life herd of majestic wild horses in Arizona. When they appear, the wind itself seems to stand still. They are grand in their movements as they do all the things horses do--splash through rivers, care for young, stomp and whinny. It is clear they are not tame, and this is part of their beauty and power. How lucky are we to be able to witness their strength and speed and magnificence!
