Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Thomas Rood(e). He was born ca. 1625/26 in Glastonbury, England. He married Sarah (Leffingwell or) White 24 Jan 1647 in Norwich, Connecticut. She was born ca. 1629 in England and died 16 Mar 1668 in Norwich, Connecticut. He was the father of ten children. He died 18 Oct 1672 in Saybrook, Connecticut.

Thomas Rood (1626?-1672) was born at Glastonbury, Somerset County, England, and died at Norwich, New London County, Connecticut. He married Sarah Leffingwell? (1629?-1668) ca. 1647. Descendants of Simeon Rood (1733-1784), possibly son of David Rude and Joanna Parke, who was possibly born in Stafford, Tolland Co., Ct. His death is recorded at South Britain Church, a parish in Southbury, Ct. He was married to Jerusha Rockwell. Descendants live in Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New York and elsewhere.
