Sitting on a Darwin beach, far from the Ghanaian home they knew as children Gyan and Kwesi Atambire's past is following them. The story told by those in charge of their childhood, still, after more than twenty years, doesn't ring true. They've been silent for so long. Unable to talk about it. But they now begin to wonder what would happen if they returned to Ghana together, hand-in-hand. Would they be able to unlock the secrets of their past? Would knowledge give them healing? Or has enough time passed that it is no longer relevant, meaning all this time they've been merely been running from ghosts? They haven't been able to do it alone. Can they do it together?

In 1933, before World War II, and the Holocaust, the world was unaware of Hitler's plans to exterminate millions. Author Cathy A. Lewis discovered a tattered leather suitcase containing her deceased father's journal documenting his six-week trek through Europe in 1933 while on his way to the 4th Boy Scout World Jamboree. Inspired by her father's historical recount, The Road We Took is the four-day epic tale of a desperate group of Jewish citizens attempting to escape Nazi-occupied Germany. Fascinating characters come together in a narrative of extreme courage, budding adolescent love, and their fight for survival. Life in Germany will never be the same as Hitler and the Nazis advance their propaganda campaign, to systematically murder the Jewish population. And this was only the beginning.

God has given humanity the highest level of intelligence of all living creations on earth. That level seems to be, we realize we do not know everything, and we cannot do everything. We claim only God knows everything, and God can do everything. Our problems seem to develop when we try to guess what God will do and try to get ahead of Him, telling ourselves it will give Him more time to help those less capable than aEURoewe thinkaEUR we are.Only God has full control as to when we will be born and when we will die. In between those two events, each human has responsibilities, and God gives all humanity full control of how they respond to God's plan. We as individuals will determine our belief in God's Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. This alone will determine where our eternal life will be. What a wonderful blessing that we should all take very seriously.

Responding to the rapid spread of the Ghost Dance among tribes of the western United States in the early 1890s, James Mooney set out to describe and understand the phenomenon. He visited Wovoka, the Ghost Dance prophet, at his home in Nevada and traced the progress of the Ghost Dance from place to place, describing the ritual and recording the distinctive song lyrics of seven separate tribes. His classic work (first published in 1896 and here reprinted in its entirety for the first time) includes succinct cultural and historical introductions to each of those tribal groups and depicts the Ghost Dance among the Sioux, the fears it raised of an Indian outbreak, and the military occupation of the Sioux reservations culminating in the tragedy at Wounded Knee. Seeking to demonstrate that the Ghost Dance was a legitimate religious movement, Mooney prefaced his study with a historical survey of comparable millenarian movements among other American Indian groups. In addition to his work on the Ghost Dance, James Mooney is best remembered for his extraordinarily detailed studies of the Cherokee Indians of the Southeast and the Kiowa and other tribes of the southern plains, and for his advocacy of American Indian religious freedom.
