Where is time taking us? Are we all just waiting in line to die, or is there more to life's story than this? What is time? Where does it go, and where has it been? When did it start, and how shall it all end? Who created time, and for what purpose? Why did time start, and why are our days measured by it? If we reach the end without understanding these things here on the earth, our time and lives will be wasted, and everything we have done will have been done in vain. All of our works and futile efforts will die with us, and we will, in a sense, have failed in our existence. To fulfill our purpose in life, it is imperative that we live with the end in mind. The mastermind behind this concept of time has set everything into motion, and every scene unfolds at His directive. He is the author and producer of this story called life. It is a story of love, failure, repentance, judgement, war, peace, forgiveness, redemption, sacrifice, resurrection, and ultimately reconciliation. It is our story-the human story, and the producer of this story, God, knows exactly where time is taking us and when. 5780-5781 We are now entering a season where time and events are converging. The clock is ticking, and a new day is on the horizon. Everything seems as though it is falling apart, but in fact from God's perspective, everything is coming together for the fulfillment of His plan to restore the Earth and His creation. God has not changed His plan; He just gave it time to develop. The proclivity of time explains the nature and purpose of time, captures unforgettable moments in time for reflection, analyzes controversial truth for where we are at this moment in time, and provides a road map to where time is taking us. After all, time is the thing that keeps us here, and it shall be the thing that takes us away. It is a journey we all must take in order to reach our destination. It is my hope that within these pages, we will come to fully understand time's role in facilitating every aspect of our lives, and how God uses time and seasons to bring His plan for humanity and the Earth together. Darnell Whittington has served as an Educational Administrator for many years in Monroe, Louisiana. This series of essays throws politically correct ideas out the door and delivers a candid look at the dynamics of modern pop culture thinking. You will find random thoughts on words that start with N and an examination of the thinking of liberals as compared to conservatives, including their different thoughts on global warming. Look for a fun section on the nature of the human male and also look for a penetrating examination on the chronic condition of vaginitis also known as Chronic Complaining Syndrome; (CCS) which describes a small minority of constantly complaining women. You will also find a few comments on politics and economics, including; Liberal economist? There is no such thing as a liberal economist. You are either liberal or an economist! Asking a liberal to discuss economics is like asking Satan to discuss Christianity.

This book provides a post-positivist theory of deterministic and probabilistic causality that supports both quantitative and qualitative explanations. Features of particular interest include the ability to provide true explanations in contexts where our knowledge is incomplete, a systematic interpretation of causal modeling techniques in the social sciences, and a direct realist view of causal relations that is compatible with a liberal empiricism. The book should be of wide interest to both philosophers and scientists. Originally published in 1989. The Princeton Legacy Library uses the latest print-on-demand technology to again make available previously out-of-print books from the distinguished backlist of Princeton University Press. These editions preserve the original texts of these important books while presenting them in durable paperback and hardcover editions. The goal of the Princeton Legacy Library is to vastly increase access to the rich scholarly heritage found in the thousands of books published by Princeton University Press since its founding in 1905.

This third volume of Ken Vaux's memoirs covers the calendar year of 2012 which focused on (1) teaching in the Evanston church as this body struggled to be both evangelical in theology and oriented to social justice in the community. We searched together for having what it takes to be a "University Church"--preaching and teaching a credible and relevant message and living out a vital witness; seeking honest responses to issues in church and state such as homosexuality, embodying concern for the poor and lively ministry in the neighborhoods of the parish. (2) That community was confronted with belief crisis and ethical challenge during the year with eight gun-killings of young people. The churches now had to move beyond the prevalent complacency, confront the racisim and disregard for the poor disband the apartheid of the village that existed even in black and white Ministeria and get real with what an interfaith community had to do to leaven and heal its own backyard. (3) For Such a Time as This also deals with global and national political issues such as an unwinding war in Iraq and Afghanistan and a new one arising in Syria--biblical theology being put to the test--and the provocative election of 2012 as the theological imagination was stirred by candidates Obama and Romney.
