Alexander Needles was born 6 March 1797 in Kent County, Delaware. His parents were George Cubbage Needels and Kezia Jackson. He married Elizabeth Cubbage, daughter of Thomas Cubbage and Anna Dill, 5 December 1822 in Franklin County, Ohio. They had eight children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio, Kansas and Missouri.
