He then moved to Marlboro County, South Carolina where he died in 1801. His son, Julius (1777-1864), was born in Lausanne and married Elizabeth Rogers in 1806. They moved to Marengo County, Alabama in 1837. Benjamin Rogers (1723-1791), son of Nicholas and Martha Rogers, married Elizabeth Cary of Virginia. They went to South Carolina in 1743. My spiritual battles began shortly after my dad was diagnosed terminally ill. I quickly became anxious about whether he would go to Heaven after he died.
