The 710 books in this list on housing and related subjects are to be found in the central or down-town libraries of Chicago, name ly: The chicago-public Library (p), The John Crerar Library (j), the Municipal Library (m), the Ryerson Library of the Art Insti tute (a), the City Club Library (c), and the Library of the Chicago School of Civics and Philanthropy (s). The bibliographies and periodicals in the first two divisions of the list make available a great deal of additional material. Not a few of the books in the list contain short lists of references, and are illustrated by plans, maps, elevations.
