Tonder bobbin lace originates in Southwest Jutland. This book contains a range of traditional patterns taken from the author's own collection, provided with photographs, prickings, line drawings and diagrams. The first section of the book looks at the history of Tonder bobbin lace, which dates from around 1600 and was a thriving industry in the Tonder district until the second half of the 19th century.
