Davis Billings was born in New York in 1826. He married Adelia Caroline Nichols and they later west into Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. They were the parents of eight children. Davis died in Missouri in 1888, while Adelia died later in Kansas. Information on their ancestral lines as well as their descendants is given in this volume. Descendants now live in Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado, Iowa, and elsewhere.
