I hope this poem will help my readers to deepen their love for Mother Earth and take good care of her as she takes good care of us, and everything that exists. I would like you to enjoy this poem and recite it many times until memorized. That is why I composed a melodic refrain to be sung in between the verses. After reciting the poem, putting one's brain to a test by researching and filling in the missing information also broadens the knowledge about Mother Earth. Coloring the pictures makes one a co-author and co-illustrator. This book is for all ages, and can spark a group discussion or a bigger project about Mother Earth.

Young children usually think of their home as the structure in which they live. In Our Big Home, the author and illustrator present a much larger vision of home as the planet Earth. Linda Glaser's beautiful poem is a wonderful way to gently lead children toward the all-important understanding of caring for our environment. In her lyrical, child-oriented style, she presents the idea that our big home is shared not only with all people but with all plants and animals as well. She shows that we share the air, the water, the soil, and other elements that affect and sustain all of us who live on Earth. Elisa Kleven's vibrant art enhances the concept as she takes young readers to an African plain, a Caribbean island, a South American mountain, and around the world to see people and animals reveling in the beauty and abundance of our shared home.

The worm had escaped but nobody seemed to care at the time until a few murders had happened and younger Nexie was killed in a tragic car accident. We had continued on working in the Outlook Hotel as best as we could do. One day an old friend turned up at the hotel and enough was enough. We decided to go after the clone and Marshmelilkree. This was going to be our personal war, to take the fight to them. Blottey my wife, had left us a suitcase full of Victorian weapons, along with a letter and a locket from two hundred and fifty-one years ago.

This study brings together three closely related aspects of Maori literature - myth, memory and identity. It examines selected novels by Witi Ihimaera and Patricia Grace in order to trace an ever-developing Maori identity that has changed considerably over three decades of the Maori novel. This book demonstrates that an investigation of the construction of identity in literature benefits from a close look at the importance of Maori mythology as well as associated cultural and individual memories. Indicating that Maori fiction has become what Homi Bhabha terms a third space, this book verifies the links between novel, myth and memory with the help of existing research in these areas in order to assess their importance for the reinterpretation of identity. The Maori novels that depict situations reflecting current issues are viewed as an experimental playground in which authors can explore a variety of solutions to tribal, societal and political issues. This study establishes the early novels as reinterpretations of the past and guides to the future, and characterises the more recent novels as representing a move towards empowerment and pioneering that has not yet come to a conclusion.
