In this spin-off of the popular novel series, the Devil King Maou and Emilia, the Hero, are reincarnated after their terrible battle as high school students in modern-day Japan! Add in the innocent Chiho, a fellow student with a crush on the former lord of darkness, and you've got a high school comedy devilish in its scale!

Maou (aka the Devil King) and Emi (aka Emilia the Hero) have arrived from another world--and now they're in high school! Things are crazy enough already with classmate Chiho's ongoing crush on Maou, but are these kids going to be ready when a little girl shows up on Maou's doorstep and calls him "papa"?

Maou (the Devil King) has a suspicion about the mysterious child Alas Ramus, a wee lass who he and Emi (the Hero) have wound up parenting. During a supremely awkward "family outing" to the amusement park, Emi gets Maou to tell her the truth about their little girl. But when a chorus of angels shows up to settle an old score, Maou's revelation may not matter!

Ashiya and Chiho are shocked to discover that Maou and Emi had that kind of relationship, but nobody's more surprised than the two new "parents." Will Maou the breadwinner be able to make the grade when it comes to child rearing? And will this spell the end of the starry-eyed Emi's romantic ambitions?

THE DEVIL FINDS WORK FOR IDLE HANDS! MgRonald is closed for renovations, which means Maou is temporarily out of a job! His hunt for employment takes him all the way to Chiho's family farm in Nagano, where he'll get a taste of the agricultural life. Can he and the others survive their time in the sticks, or are they simply too spoiled by the city? And if Maou does learn the value of hard work, what of all the farms he trampled during his time as the Devil King...?
