Johann Peter Klinger was born 3 November 1773 in Reading, Pennsylvania. His parents were Johann Philip Klinger (1723-1811) and Eva Elisabeth Beilstein (1730-ca. 1815). He married Catharina Steinbruch, daughter of Adam Steinbrecher and Anna Margaretha Hoffman, in about 1791 in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. They had eleven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Pennsylvania and Indiana.

Georg Klinger (ca. 1610-1695) married Christina (1612-1695) and was the mayor of Pfaffen Beerfurth, Starkenberg, Hesse. Their son Johann Georg Klinger (1655-1694) married Anna Elizabeth Göttman. Four of their grandchildren emigrated to America and settled in the Reading, Klingerstown and Erdman areas in Pennsylvania. (1) Johann Peter Klinger (1721-1785) was the son of Johannes Klinger and Agatha Heist of Pfaffen Beerfurth. He married Anna Catherine Eisenhardt; (2) Johann Philip Klinger (1723-1811) married (1) Anna Elizabeth Heist at Neunkirchen and (2) Eva Elisabeth Beilstein at Neunkirchen; (3) Alexander (1726-1802) married Ann Elisabeth Geiss at Reichelsheim; (4) Johannes Klinger (1728-1784) was a second cousin of the three immigrant brothers and their sister. He married (1) Christina Elizabeth Fuss in Montgomery Co., Pennsylavania and (2) Margarita; and (5) Anna Barbara Klinger (b.1729) married Johannes Geiss and emigrated with her brothers to America. They settled in Lebanon Co., Pennsylvania. Several generations of descendants are given for these five Klinger immigrants.

Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Johann Peter Klinger (born 18 June 1830 in Germany and Ann Margaretha Schaefer who was born 20 December 1835 in Germany. Johann and Ann married 18 April 1858 and were the parents of two known children. Johann died 11 August 1866 and Ann married Johannes Hausel. Johannes died 31 August 1873 and Ann immigrated to America with her children 3 June 1883. They settled in Wayne Co., Iowa. Descendants lived in Iowa, South Dakota, California and elsewhere.

Johannes Klinger was born 4 February 1727/28 in Pfaffen-Beerfurth, Germany. His parents were Johann Wilhelm Klinger and Anna Catharina Heist. He emigrated in 1749. He married Christina Elizabeth Foos, daughter of Nicholas Foos and Elisabeth Glass, 25 October 1753 in Skippack, Pennsylvania. They had six children. He married Margritha in about 1767 and they had seven children. He died in 1784 in Pikestown Township, Chester, Pennsylvania. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany and Pennsylvania. .

Alexander Klinger (1726-1802) married Ann Elizabeth Geiss in 1748, and they emigrated in 1749 from Germany to Berks County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Washington, Oregon and elsewhere.
