A provocative reassessment of Heidegger’s critique of German Idealism from one of the tradition’s foremost interpreters. Heidegger claimed that Western philosophy ended—failed, even—in the German Idealist tradition. In The Culmination, Robert B. Pippin explores the ramifications of this charge through a masterful survey of Western philosophy, especially Heidegger’s critiques of Hegel and Kant. Pippin argues that Heidegger’s basic concern was to determine sources of meaning for human life, particularly those that had been obscured by Western philosophy’s attention to reason. The Culmination offers a new interpretation of Heidegger, German Idealism, and the fate of Western rationalism.

As Germany fought the Soviet Union during World War II, a much smaller but equally vicious struggle was unfolding in southeastern Poland, fueled by longstanding ethnic and territorial conflicts between Poles and Ukrainians. Both sides organized large partisan armies and sought control over territory each deemed integral to their postwar national visions. The violence reached a fever pitch in the years immediately following the war. This comprehensive study surveys Polish-Ukrainian relations dating back to the tenth century. Rapawy follows centuries of ethnic strife, population shifts, and the formation of national states after the First World War on multi-ethnic territories, illuminating the long-term historical processes that informed later events.

About the Book God's New Covenant of Grace was first published in the author's local newspaper in 1986-1987 as a weekly column. There was mixed interest in the column with most of the opposition coming from the professional clergy. Concerned with the negativity of the clergy, he laid the writings aside, but the Holy Spirit would not leave them dormant. When he retired in 2012 as the accountant and auditor for the city of Alexander City, Alabama, he was moved by the Holy Spirit to revive the writings, and after much soul-searching and self-debate, he breathed new life into this book: The Culmination of God's New Covenant of Grace. It is the author's assertion that a deep read and thoughtful study of all the doctrines, precepts, and concepts as presented in The Culmination of God's New Covenant of Grace will prove to be highly beneficial to every Christian or to each seeker of truth. What America and the world need most in this hour of confusion, uncertainty, and growing hostility toward God is clarification and definition of what Almighty God is saying to and asking of America and of the world. Even more important, what is He saying to and asking of the church of grace, the body of Christ in which the spirit of apostasy and open rejection of basic doctrines of biblical morality and of spiritual purity are growing largely unchecked and unchallenged by many pastors and other church authorities who are particularly and primarily charged by the Holy Spirit with the maintenance of these biblical morality and spiritual purity doctrines within God's church? Open your heart as you read and study The Culmination of God's New Covenant of Grace, and you will see and hear renewed and fresh Revelation! Blessed is he or she that responds! God be with you in your quest for relevant truth! Several years of serious scriptural research went into the drafting of the original columns of the 1980s, and this book is basically a recapture of the biblical precepts and concepts as presented in those columns with some updating and clarifications as appropriate.

The final volume of the Library of Wisdom and Compassion by His Holiness the Dalai Lama takes us to the uncommon practices and realizations of Vajrayana to the full awakening of a buddha. His Holiness the Dalai Lama skillfully illuminates the unique qualities of Vajrayana, as practiced in Tibet, and the method to eradicate the subtlest obscurations preventing the full awakening of a buddha. Speaking to newcomers and advanced students alike, he explains the similarities and differences of the Sutra and Tantra paths. Having gathered many of the doubts and difficult points concerning the tantric path, he clarifies the purpose of receiving proper empowerment by qualified gurus and the ethical restraints and commitments required to enter the path of secret mantra. The paths and stages of the four tantric classes are explained, as are the generation-stage and completion-stage practices of Highest Yoga Tantra. You are introduced to the practices of clear appearance and divine identity common to all tantric sadhanas, as well as the distinctive practices of illusory body and actual clear light that overcome the subtlest defilements on the mind and eliminate all obscurations quickly. The understanding of emptiness in Sutra and Tantra is the same, but the consciousness perceiving emptiness differs. In Highest Yoga Tantra that consciousness is great bliss, which arises from knowing the methods to manipulate the channels, winds, and drops of the subtle body. In short, in Vajrayana and the Culmination of the Path the Dalai Lama sets out the path that leads to blissful awakening and enables us to be of great benefit to all sentient beings.
