Butterfly Hamster is a very intelligent, industrious, ambitious and curious little guy who has reached a stage in his life where he feels he is ready to leave his familys nest and discover the world. Butterfly Hamster has decided he would like to go to Canada. In particular, he would like to explore Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Butterfly Hamster goes to Canada in a cast away but informed and well planned manner. His new family whom he meets in Canada are Olivia and her Mom. The story is from the perspective of Butterfly Hamster who has the talent to be a little reporter with his laptop.
