The North American B-45 Tornado was America's first jet bomber and was used in a number of vital missions for nearly a decade. When the United States Army Signal Corps created the Aeronautical Division in August1907, it had a mission to take charge of all matters pertaining to military ballooning,air machines, and all kindred matters.
