This book suggests that religion, in its usual sense, can be replaced by something better, that the human spirit or subjectivity can be the subject of scientific study and that lack of purpose or design in the universe is not a handicap but a positive opportunity for intelligent beings to make of the universe and its contents what they reasonably can. The book breaks new ground in suggesting a radical alternative to religion. It offers a scientific and humanist alternative to religion which appeals to people’s critical faculties rather than emotions or intuitions. It also challenges current views of causation and the principle of sufficient reason by stressing the subjectivity of our reasoning powers and clarifying these in relation to an independent external reality. It develops and elaborates a notion of the ’noosphere’ within a theoretical system, this enables the notion to assume a scientific importance which it currently lacks because it is treated as an isolated, eccentric and rather mystical idea.

SECRET POWER AND ABILITY TO UNLOCK YOUR HEALTH AND FITNESS BREAKTHROUGHS… It has been with you all along. It has shaped the very course of your life. This POWER has created billionaires and sustained beggars alike. It is an accurate predictor of your future successes or failures. Yet, only a very small percentage of the population knows that it even exists. Not only that it exists, but that it has always existed - within your very being, awaiting your next command. This Masterpiece Lies Within series unlocks doors within you that have been previously inaccessible because of a lack of knowledge or limited understanding. It offers you verified universal secrets that have evaded so many professionals. Just like you, I labored blindly for years until I was taught the knowledge that I share with you in this series. As a former fitness professional, I witnessed this lack of understanding throughout the vast majority of the health and fitness industry. No-fault of those fitness professionals, most are unaware because this information is not being taught. The focus has always been about "the body", never about "you" and the inherent unlimited power you have to change the body! This SECRET POWER has to be taught and developed. So, if you're a fitness professional who has people dependent on you or someone who desires to optimize your fitness and health, I urge you to read this book! Learn this information because it contains the keys to the breakthrough that you and your clients will need for the lasting results that they desire. One reader wrote... "Very interesting approach, I am a fitness coach as well, so that is something completely new for me. Thank you! " You may be thinking: what else could you tell me? There are so many different diets like the KETOGENIC and MEDITERRANEAN diets along with various exercise methods that are constantly advertised as the next best thing to get you into perfect shape, and most will generate some type of bodily change if you put in the work. But do they really give you a profound long term insight that can ultimately change how you navigate your life as a whole, as well as your health and fitness? The answer is mostly NO because it almost always is approached as two separate things when in fact it's all parts of a whole. Think about it for a second, how often do you wake up in the morning with a burning desire to move forward and be a better version of yourself? I think we both know the answer. And trust me. I’ve been there as well, felt the same feelings, lived the same life. This book is NOT going to be a guide that presents the most “effective” diet plan for weight loss or “Top 10 exercises” to shape your body…. No, not at all. Through this MASTERPIECE LIES WITHIN series of books, I will teach you how to discover “you,” I mean the "real you" that has been misunderstood for generations. I will teach you the connection between your spirit, mind, body, and everything else around you, reveal Universal Truths that have been used and followed for thousands of years but remain undiscovered by people like yourself, full of strong desire to change and improve the quality of their lives. Here are just a few things you will get out of this book: * The Law of Self-Separation – why it can be life-changing * How to Develop the Right Type of Discipline and Self-Control in your daily life * How Knowing these truths can Predict Your Future Success or Failures * Understand the unguided Hidden Power you have to create the world you desire * "The Secret" to change in your body – from inside and from outside * A Perfect Spirit-Mind-Body Balance – learn the correct order of you * What you should train BEFORE you Train Your Body * Strategies to make your fitness goals achievable Much much more…. This book tells the story of Japanese Canadian activist Mary Kitagawa. In the aftermath of the Pearl Harbor bombing, Mary was one of roughly 22,000 Nikkei uprooted from their homes on the Pacific coast and forbidden to return to western British Columbia until long after World War II had officially ended. In the decades that followed, Mary and her family navigated financial precarity and ostracism, but also found ways to pursue both economic stability and political engagement. Beginning with Mary's grandparents, who were among the earliest immigrants to Canada from Japan, this book tracks the family's experiences—and those of the larger Nikkei Canadian community—from the late 1800s to the present. Concentrating on the interpersonal and intergenerational bonds that shaped Kitagawa, Karen M. Inouye describes the increasingly activist sensibilities that arose from transformative relationships—with family members, other members of the Nikkei Canadian community, Doukhobors, First Nations peoples, and white allies—as well as in response to the anti-Asian racism that Kitagawa encountered in many forms throughout her life. Inouye presents the Nikkei Canadian experience not as a linear triumph over a single adversity, but as a continual process of identity formation in relation to obstacles and opportunities, suffering and joy, isolation and connection.
