What Is Telescoped Ammunition The term "telescoped ammunition" refers to a kind of projectile that is either partly or entirely encased by the propellant in the construction of the ammunition. To provide just one example, there is ammunition designed for both hand weapons and artillery. Telescoping is often used for caseless ammunition. How You Will Benefit (I) Insights, and validations about the following topics: Chapter 1: Telescoped ammunition Chapter 2: 5.56 x 45mm NATO Chapter 3: Squad automatic weapon Chapter 4: Grenade launcher Chapter 5: Sniper rifle Chapter 6: Heckler and Koch G11 Chapter 7: Caseless ammunition Chapter 8: Special Purpose Individual Weapon Chapter 9: 6.8mm Remington SPC Chapter 10: Advanced Combat Rifle Chapter 11: Heckler and Koch HK CAWS Chapter 12: Ares Incorporated Chapter 13: Lightweight Small Arms Technologies Chapter 14: Underwater firearm Chapter 15: LSAT light machine gun Chapter 16: LSAT rifle Chapter 17: LSAT caseless ammunition Chapter 18: Polymer-cased ammunition Chapter 19: CTA International Chapter 20: .277 Fury Chapter 21: Next Generation Squad Weapon Program (II) Answering the public top questions about telescoped ammunition. Ammunition, Demystified is Hatcher’s Notebook for the twenty-first century. It’s a “soft” technical document intended for small caliber ammunition design and production engineers, as well as more advanced shooters and reloaders who want a more in-depth understanding of how guns and ammunition work and interact with one another. There is very little that is truly simple about small arms ammunition due to the enormous stresses to which the bullet and cartridge case structures are subjected during the firing process and the nonlinear material properties of these ammunition components. Ammunition Demystified untangles these interactions and will help put you on the path of increased understanding of a simple yet complex topic. This book encapsulates the technical knowledge acquired on bullets, cartridge cases, barrels, and ammunition testing over a career spanning four decades. It is a useful reference for shooters, reloaders, and “ammo guys” to assist them when they troubleshoot the mechanical and dispersion performance of their firearms and ammunition. Ammunition Demystified topics covered are • cartridge cases and case-chamber interaction • propellants and interior ballistics • projectile design, aerodynamics, and stability • trajectory, dispersion, accuracy • barrel: manufacture, fatigue life • ammunition: pressure and velocity testing, and load development www.bulletology.com

What Is Caseless Ammunition Caseless ammunition, also known as caseless cartridges, is a type of weapon-cartridge configuration that does away with the cartridge case. The cartridge case is the component of a weapon-cartridge that is typically responsible for holding the primer, propellant, and projectile together as a single unit. Instead of using a cartridge case, the propellant and primer are attached to the projectile in some other fashion, such as either inside or outside the projectile, depending on the arrangement. This eliminates the need for the cartridge case. How You Will Benefit (I) Insights, and validations about the following topics: Chapter 1: Caseless ammunition Chapter 2: Firearm Chapter 3: Cartridge (firearms) Chapter 4: Muzzle velocity Chapter 5: Grenade launcher Chapter 6: Heckler and Koch G11 Chapter 7: Cooking off Chapter 8: Rimfire ammunition Chapter 9: Sabot (firearms) Chapter 10: Gun barrel Chapter 11: Internal ballistics Chapter 12: Blank (cartridge) Chapter 13: Blowback (firearms) Chapter 14: Obturation Chapter 15: Rim (firearms) Chapter 16: 7.92?57mm Mauser Chapter 17: 7.5?55mm Swiss Chapter 18: Voere VEC-91 Chapter 19: Glossary of firearms terms Chapter 20: Lightweight Small Arms Technologies Chapter 21: Primer (firearms) (II) Answering the public top questions about caseless ammunition.
