Innocent Tears is a young womans story of survival. Her mother is heinously murdered, her father jailed and disappeared; she is left alone with her little brother in the war-torn village. Her suitor is an artist whose art proves to be a token of threat, liberation, and love. Adversity follows them like a shadow, and the way they handle their problems remains to be a riddle that this novel will unravel. The story is a blend of miracle, love, anguish, and death. Wonders will never cease. Out of destruction and anguish, a tree of love burgeons and works wonders.

The Tears of the Innocent and the Bloodshed is a riveting true account of events that took place between 1989 and 2003, in several of Africa's most war-torn nations. Author Mohammed Jawara is all too familiar with the wars and conflicts that have afflicted the African continent in the past two decades, having experienced many of them firsthand. This book is the story of Mohammed and his family's flight across the continent; a journey that began in Charles Taylor's Liberia, where they were forced to flee from murderous government thugs who wanted to kill them. For a time Mohammed and his family found safe-haven in Sierra Leone. But eventually the war followed them there to, resulting in the author's brother having his arms chopped off and the family being forced to take flight again. This time they landed in Guinea, where they again found safety to be fleeting. In 2003 when the country's president Lassana Conte told his citizens to attack refugees who had brought the war to Guinea, Mohammed and his family were forced to flee again. Fortunately this time the UN stepped in and the family was able to find safe passage to Canada. About the Author: Mohammed Jawara was born and raised in Liberia and now lives in British Columbia. In addition to his career and his writing, he enjoys playing soccer, drawing, reading, and running. This book was inspired by his family's true struggles to escape from the violence and war that continues to blight many African nations. Publisher's website: http: //sbpra.com/MohammedJawara

It’s election season, and this year New Orleans—hot, sticky, squalid—is hosting the Republican National Convention. J. D. Callahan is a political operative backing an unpopular centrist candidate, the sitting vice president, Hilda Smith. Enter Armstrong George, a “dangerous lunatic” of a populist rival whose appearance on the scene has split the convention. The Republican party is in disarray—but this is only the beginning. Bomb scares, corrupt politicians, and a sexy, gun-toting gossip columnist all conspire to derail J. D.’s plans—and possibly the convention itself. The Innocent Have Nothing to Fear is a biting, hilarious satire of political culture from one of our savviest writers on the subject.

In this Christian self-help guidebook, Reverend Virginia Reid-Scott profiles Tay, a fictional young woman who decides to step back into her past in order to discover what has gone wrong with her life, ultimately with the goal of helping others heal from their own pain. As Tay stands in front of her mirror and faces the hurt she has been holding in for most of her life, she wonders how she became a silent victim who cries innocent tears. While recalling difficult memories of being teased as a young girl, feeling unloved as a teenager, and experiencing abuse as a young woman, Tay realizes she has been hurt so badly that she has withdrawn within herself; her heart has become cold to love. As Tay continues on her journey to redefine herself and unleash the emotions hidden deep within her, she realizes that she must overcome the pain in order to begin healing. The wisdom and spiritual guidance provided in Silent Victim/Innocent Tears will help young girls and women realize that they can be strong, they can be defined by who they are on the inside, and they can ask for respect and receive it.
