That section 7681 of Kirby's Digest be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: The board of directors shall organize by choosing from their own number a president, Who shall hold his office until the last Saturday in May, and the said board shall at the same time choose a secretary Who may also be clerk of the board, and said secre tary may be chosen from persons other than members of the board, and he shall hold his office until the last Saturday in May, and annually on that day the said board shall meet and elect a president and secretary in the same manner as provided above.
