La gestión del riesgo de desastres está ganando rápidamente espacio en los ámbitos del desarrollo, el combate a la pobreza y el logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio. El presente documento aborda al menos tres niveles: i) el teórico-conceptual, que integra de manera analítica los enfoques de gestión del riesgo y equidad de género; ii) el político, visto desde la perspectiva del desarrollo humano y como preocupación de las políticas públicas; iii) el técnico, que realiza algunas primeras aproximaciones para desarrollar un instrumental metodológico que permita llevar a la práctica las propuestas de integración.

Contrary to optimistic visions of a free internet for all, the problem of the ‘digital divide’ – the disparity between those with access to internet technology and those without – has persisted for close to twenty-five years. In this textbook, Jan van Dijk considers the state of digital inequality and what we can do to tackle it. Land Reform Revisited engages with contemporary debates on land reform and agrarian transformation in South Africa. The volume offers insights into post-apartheid transformation dynamics through the lens of agency and state making. The chapters written by emerging scholars are based on extensive qualitative research and their analysis highlights the ways in which people negotiate and contest land reform realities and politics.
