In 1930s Paris, the &“Butcher of the Dances&” is on the prowl for young, loose women, and local dominatrix Agatha suddenly turns up dead. Everyone assumes it was suicide, but her sister Blanche is convinced that the Butcher is responsible. She decides to take matters into her own hands, and in her pursuit, she ends up hired into a luxury house of call-girls. She soon becomes adept at certain practices, but she does not lose sight of her ultimate goal—to find her sister's killer. A suspenseful spicy tale as only the French could so lightly get away with, this work is deceptive in its depth and realism.

Riverstone loosely bases this story on the Old Testament book of Judith - it features seduction, betrayal, and bloody violence, the kind of thing that prim Sunday school teachers generally leave unmentioned, assuming they know these stories at all. This interpretation goes way past R. Judith and her sidekick Esther (who get an Old Testament book of her own) appear here as curvy, top-heavy, and averse to all clothing. Holophrenes and his army appear equally unclad, which shows an apparent epidemic of priapism among the invaders. Judith's seduction appears in lengthy and lubricious detail, as do other encounters between other women and the soldiers. Holophernes, as mightiest of the attackers, is given the mightiest of organs to attack with, and all stand in awe of Esther and Judith for surviving its onslaught.

A beautifully packaged annual featuring the best of old favourites, "Look and Learn" fondly remembered by thousands as the Children's classic magazine from the 60s and 70s. It covered a vast range of subjects, from bumble bees to rocket science, from English literature to Greek and Roman legend. But history was its chief concern, and its brilliant illustrators filled its pages with beautiful pictures of the past. This lavishly illustrated tribute to the magazine presents a kaleidoscopic journey through time, whose narrative pauses for occasional episodes from the cult story of The Trigan Empire. Packed with superb illustrations by some of the greatest illustrators of their time, including wonderful illustrations by Frank Bellamy, Ron Embleton, Cecil Doughty, Peter Jackson, Andrew Howat and many more.
