STAR LIGHT, The magazine for Enya fans. Issue 6 Welcome to the all new Enya Fanzine (Magazine) Many moons ago, a group of Enya fans from around the world gathered together to create something wonderful; the very first Enya fanzine, a fan made magazine, released in January 1995. The magazine was comprised of beautifully illustrated drawings, photos, and information regarding Enya. There were also stories from fans and album release details. This first edition was called "Caribbean Blue". Some Enya fans out there may still have copies of these fan made editions which have since become highly sought after pieces of Enya memorabilia. These fanzines were created in a time when technology was less advanced, but from across different corners of the globe Enya fans came together to create these wonderful magazines. Within these pages there will be plenty to read, pictures to see, and lots of Enya goodies. We hope to reach both old and new Enya fans around the globe. There will be 6 editions, each one being released on the 1st of every month from 1st December 2020 onwards. So sit back, put on an Enya record, CD, cassette and enjoy!!!Note: This is a fan made publication. Note: We at Enya fanzine hope you've enjoyed your sixth issue. This being our last issue in the series, until later in the year Dec 2021, do not fear we will be back with more!!! If you would like to contribute or take part in the next series you can write to us at [email protected]. Artwork, poetry, Enya collections, stories etc are all welcome. From Fanzine, we would like to thankyou for your support, kind words and would like to wish everyone a safe and happy summer.

Conceived in the 1930s, simplified and successfully tested in the 1950s, the darling of the automotive industry in the early 1970s, then all but abandoned before resurging for a brilliant run as a high-performance powerplant for Mazda, the Wankel rotary engine has long been an object of fascination and more than a little mystery. A remarkably simple design (yet understood by few), it boasts compact size, light weight and nearly vibration-free operation. In the 1960s, German engineer Felix Wankel's invention was beginning to look like a revolution in the making. Though still in need of refinement, it held much promise as a smooth and powerful engine that could fit in smaller spaces than piston engines of similar output. Auto makers lined up for licensing rights to build their own Wankels, and for a time analysts predicted that much of the industry would convert to rotary power. This complete and well-illustrated account traces the full history of the engine and its use in various cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles and other applications. It clearly explains the working of the engine and the technical challenges it presented--the difficulty of designing effective and durable seals, early emissions troubles, high fuel consumption, and others. The work done by several companies to overcome these problems is described in detail, as are the economic and political troubles that nearly killed the rotary in the 1970s, and the prospects for future rotary-powered vehicles.

Works of science fiction and fantasy increasingly explore gender issues, feature women as central characters, and are written by women writers. This book examines women's contributions to science fiction and fantasy across a range of media and genres, such as fiction, nonfiction, film, television, art, comics, graphic novels, and music. The first volume offers survey essays on major topics, such as sexual identities, fandom, women's writing groups, and feminist spirituality; the second provides alphabetically arranged entries on more specific subjects, such as Hindu mythology, Toni Morrison, magical realism, and Margaret Atwood. Entries are written by expert contributors and cite works for further reading, and the set closes with a selected, general bibliography. Students and general readers love science fiction and fantasy. And science fiction and fantasy works increasingly explore gender issues, feature women as central characters, and are written by women writers. Older works demonstrate attitudes toward women in times past, while more recent works grapple with contemporary social issues. This book helps students use science fiction and fantasy to understand the contributions of women writers, the representation of women in the media, and the experiences of women in society.
