The Truth about Angels is the one book you need to discover the angels within. With the world in turmoil, spiritual forces are needed more than ever before. Harnessing the angel and new age movement can help you make sense of life when it feels directionless. Angels provide us with hope and illuminate a new path forward. They are appearing with more frequency and intensity in both our daily lives and our dreams as they're wanting us to see, hear and know them because, consciously or unconsciously, we have collectively been asking for them. Rather than visiting or becoming dependent on gurus, psychics or mediums, expert Theresa Cheung is here to show you how to directly communicate with angels on your own. Divided into three parts - The Secret World of Angels, The Secret Language of Angels and Angels and Miracles - Theresa Cheung's much-anticipated book will teach you everything you need to know, including how to decode the secret language they speak to us in, how to look within - rather than externally - to find angels, as well as sharing real-life anecdotes on how angels have changed the lives of people all over the world. In The Truth about Angels Theresa will also share her own spiritual story; her book is based on decades of research, personal experience, and is underpinned by science. 'Theresa Cheung is mysterious, illuminating, kind and informative.' - Russell Brand 'Theresa Cheung shows us that the way forward is to understand that consciousness/spiritual awareness is the fundamental ground of all experience.' - Deepak Chopra 'Theresa offers fascinating and practical advice to aid people in personally exploring mind-bending concepts and applying them to their own lives.' - Eben Alexander 'In a world full of naysayers and skeptics, Theresa is helping to steer us on a new course. She not only offers support and understanding to those with the gift of inner sight, but also helps the non-believer to come to terms with the existence of the paranormal and non-corporeal with down-to-earth explanations that are backed by science.' - Alexandra Wenman, Sky well-being Angel expert, author of the Archangel Fire Oracle

This volume's essays are an ecumenical ensemble of the best scholars and leading practitioners in the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements from all four corners of the world. The contributors bring together various denominational perspectives and dialogue for understanding the present momentum of these Spirit movements in the world church. Their diverse methodologies transverse the traditional and new approaches to studying these movements. Pointing the way forward, the authors highlight some of the lessons learned in their scholarly engagement with Spirit movements. These lessons offer significant insight and viewpoints for the academy in the historical analysis of these movements. They also serve as a good guide for pastoral discernment and accompaniment for God's people in their daily lives, as well as for social ministries in the world church. This volume addresses questions of salvation and eschatology, health and healing, prosperity and poverty, suffering and death, fear and faith, despair and hope. Other topics include the conflict between charism and institution and the tension between cultic clericalism and the affirmation and use of the gifts and talents of lay members of Christ's faithful in the church.
Death as Transformation

A key tenet of Christian faith is that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is a unique death by which the powers of death in the world have been conquered, so that Christian life in the Spirit is marked by the promise and hope of 'new life' already anticipated in the community of baptized believers. Notwithstanding this basic tenet regarding the Christian life as a participation in the redemptive death of Jesus Christ, theology in the past, as well as much contemporary theology, tends to assign no salvific significance to the event of our own death, focusing instead on death in negative terms as the wages of sin. This work is a significant retort to theological neglect, both Catholic and Protestant, of the positive and transformative aspect of our death when conceived as a dying into the redemptive death of Jesus Christ. The development of Henry L. Novello's proposed theology of death takes place in conversation with the pre-eminent contemporary contributors to this field of theological inquiry. By offering comprehensive critiques of Karl Rahner, Hans Urs von Balthasar, Karl Barth, Eberhard Jüngel and Jürgen Moltmann, Novello painstakingly pieces together a positive construal of death as salvific and transformative. What is especially distinctive about Novello's work is that he develops the idea of death as a sharing in the 'admirable exchange of natures' in the person of Jesus Christ, from which emerges his theory of resurrection at death for all. The reach of the work is extended by exploring some pastoral and liturgical implications of a theology of death conceived as the privileged moment for the actualization of God's grace in Jesus Christ, and thus being created anew in the power of the Spirit.
