Intricate Elizabethan Illustrations To Color This mid to expert level difficulty advanced adult coloring book features 50 beautifully detailed illustrations created by 19th Century British artist and illustrator, Walter Crane for the 1894-1896 editions of the epic poem, The Faerie Queene by English poet, Edmund Spenser. The Faerie Queene was originally written without illustrations in 1589 and the first three volumes were presented to Queen Elizabeth I of England as a gift from Edmund Spenser. The fourth through the sixth volumes were written later, and added to the first three, and published in their entirety without illustrations in 1596. It was the complete six-volume set of The Faerie Queene that Walter Crane illustrated with 88 beautifully detailed full-page woodblock print images. The 1895 edition of The Faerie Queen provided the Public Domain images for this advanced coloring book for adults. Images have been digitally processed and manually enhanced for the best possible coloring experience, while still maintaining the original beauty of the vintage artwork created by Walter Crane in the late 1800s.
