The aim of the Directory of Human rights Organisations is to include all human rights organisations in South Africa that endeavour to protect and promote human rights, from civil and political rights, economic rights, religious to cultural rights and environmental rights.

This is the first directory of research institutions and centers in the social sciences and humanities in South Africa. Although it is a small beginning, the publication provides one way in which the research industry in South Africa is opened both for local and international interest and usage.
