Four travelers meet in Bolivia and set off into the heart of the Amazon rainforest, but what begins as a dream adventure quickly deteriorates into a dangerous nightmare, and after weeks of wandering in the dense undergrowth, the four backpackers split up into two groups. But when a terrible rafting accident separates him from his partner, Yossi is forced to survive for weeks alone against one of the wildest backdrops on the planet. Stranded without a knife, map, or survival training, he must improvise shelter and forage for wild fruit to survive. As his feet begin to rot during raging storms, as he loses all sense of direction, and as he begins to lose all hope, he wonders whether he will make it out of the jungle alive. This is a fictional story about a very small boy who became parted from his parents by accident in the jungle. He was rescued by gorillas who brought him up. He leaned to speak many animal languages and was always wandering off by himself, which needless to say was a very dangerous thing to do, and could not speak a word of English. In his jungle life, he came across human apes that were not always friendly, but eventally quite by good fortune, his mother came back to the jungle not ever expecting to see him again. She was camping in a tent and saw the small boy who was on one of his wandering walks, but she found it hard communicating with him.

The Adventures of Tallulah, Lucia, and Dolce is Patricia's first children's book. After her adventure of moving to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, her dogs decided to have some adventures of their own, and this is the first story of their fun jungle adventure with unexpected positive life lessons. Tallulah was purchased from a puppy mill and only weighed one pound when she arrived. Lucia was frozen with fear when Patricia first saw her at the shelter. Dolce was shaking and was only four weeks old when Patricia rescued her. She decided to write this book series because of her love of dogs and children.

For most of us, traveling means visiting the most beautiful places on Earth—Paris, the Taj Mahal, the Grand Canyon. It's rare to book a plane ticket to visit the lifeless moonscape of Canada's oil sand strip mines, or to seek out the Chinese city of Linfen, legendary as the most polluted in the world. But in Visit Sunny Chernobyl, Andrew Blackwell embraces a different kind of travel, taking a jaunt through the most gruesomely polluted places on Earth. From the hidden bars and convenience stores of a radioactive wilderness to the sacred but reeking waters of India, Visit Sunny Chernobyl fuses immersive first-person reporting with satire and analysis, making the case that it's time to start appreciating our planet as it is—not as we wish it would be. Irreverent and reflective, the book is a love letter to our biosphere's most tainted, most degraded ecosystems, and a measured consideration of what they mean for us. Equal parts travelogue, expose, environmental memoir, and faux guidebook, Blackwell careens through a rogue's gallery of environmental disaster areas in search of the worst the world has to offer—and approaches a deeper understanding of what's really happening to our planet in the process.
