John Jennings was born about 1761 in South Carolina, and served in the Revolutionary War. Probably about 1805, the family moved to Georgia, and about 1812 to Tennessee. He died after 1816.

Joseph Humphries Jennings was born in 1846 in Tippam County, Mississippi. His parents were William Henry Jennings (1809-1890) and Melvina Humphries (1824-1878). He married Eleanor Petty Dunlap (1863-1933), daughter of William Petty Dunlap (1830-1911) and Nancy Louise Appling (1840-1928), in 1888. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly Mississippi, South Carolina, Georgia and Texas.

Ivan Washington Jennings was born in 1918 in Medway, Ohio. His parents were William Green Jennings (1888-1920) and Oda Mae Jacobs (1895-1959). He married Ethel Eileen Grimes (1918-2004), daughter of George Grimes and Ethel McGlone, in 1940 in Covington, Ohio. They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Ohio.

Robert Jennings Sr. (fl.1698-1720) and his family lived in New Kent (later Hanover) County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in in Virginia Tennessee, California, Idaho and elsewhere.
