William Smith (1655-1705) married Martha Tunstall in 1675, and immigrated in 1686 from England to Little Neck, Long Island, New York. William Sidney Smith (b.1796), direct descendant in the fifth generation, married Eleanor Jones in 1823, and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1873. Descendants lived in New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, California and elsewhere. Ancestors listed lived chiefly in New York.
