This book presents scientific results of the 23rd ACIS International Summer Virtual Conference on Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Networking and Parallel/Distributed Computing (SNPD2022-Summer) which was held on July 4-6, 2022, at Kyoto City, Japan. The aim of this conference was to bring together researchers and scientists, businessmen and entrepreneurs, teachers, engineers, computer users, and students to discuss the numerous fields of computer science and to share their experiences and exchange new ideas and information in a meaningful way. Research results about all aspects (theory, applications, and tools) of computer and information science and to discuss the practical challenges encountered along the way and the solutions adopted to solve them. The conference organizers selected the best papers from those papers accepted for presentation at the workshop. The papers were chosen based on review scores submitted by members of the program committee and underwent further rigorous rounds of review. From this second round of review, 15 of most promising papers are then published in this Springer (SCI) book and not the conference proceedings. We impatiently await the important contributions that we know these authors will bring to the field of computer and information science.

This conference and workshop are aimed at the wide range of problems encountered in present and future high technologies. The purpose of SNPD and SAWN is to the advanced state of the art in software engineering, artificial intelligence, networking, and parallel/distributed computing, and self-assembling wireless networks and to encourage wider collaboration between academics and industries. SNPD 2005 focuses on experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of computer and information science. Its papers cover key technology enabling areas including software engineering, cryptography and network security, internet technology, communication systems and networks, mobile/wireless/ad-hoc networks, visual and multimedia computing, image, speech, and signal processing, data mining and knowledge discovery, voice-over-IP, Web- and e-commerce modeling and applications, and natural language processing, neural networks. SAWN presents ideas and results among industry practitioners and researchers working in the emerging area of self-assembling wireless networks. It concentrates on all aspects of self-assembling wireless networks, including, modeling and optimization, authentication, privacy, and security, dynamic networks, dynamic frequency and channel assignment, multi-hop routing, wireless multicasting, performance of end-to-end protocols, data aggregation and management, caching and prefetching, synchronization and scheduling issues, resource management, energy saving protocols, monitoring management, mobility and location management, and algorithms for multimedia QoS and traffic management.

The conference organizers selected 14 outstanding papers from SNPD 2011, all of which you will find in this volume of Springer’s Studies in Computational Intelligence.
