Dr Noeleen Heyzer is the Institute of Policy Studies' 10th S R Nathan Fellow for the Study of Singapore. Patrick Daniel is the Institute of Policy Studies' 11th S R Nathan Fellow for the Study of Singapore. In recent years, the Internet disrupted the business models of the legacy media and forced them to reinvent themselves in order to compete with big tech platforms. As for the proliferation of wilful misinformation and digital fraud around the world, the book examines whether the Internet and social media require more effective global governance.
