The seaworthiness of merchant ships plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of life and property and the prevention of marine pollution. He needed a car to get to and from work, and of course, these things lead to needing other things, like fuel, maintenance costs, insurance, electricity, and much more.Instead, Roger Olson went a different way. He managed to buy a seaworthy sailing vessel, eventually quit his job and spent several decades sailing all over the world, principally in the South Pacific island archipelagos, Australia, and New Zealand.
