Scoring for Voice is a comprehensive, easy-to-use guide covering all aspects of vocal arranging. It includes a compact disc containing 50 examples of arranging techniques found in the text and covers such topics as scoring for 2-, 3-, and 4-part voices, scoring behind a soloist, vocal ranges, rehearsal techniques and voice-leading concepts.

Composed between 1812–13, these English-language folk songs were written for one or two voices to be accompanied by piano, cello, and violin. The songs include: “ho, my dear Dermot”, “Put round the bright wine”, “From Garyone, my happy home”, “Save me from the grave and wise”, “Oh! would I were but that sweet linnet (duet)”, “The hero may perish (duet)”, “The Soldier in a Foreign Land (duet)”, and “He promised me at parting (duet)”. Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 – 1827) was a seminal German composer.
