This document provides basic information to help school districts, health personnel serving schools, and community partners work together to design and provide safe, effective school health systems. Each chapter includes an introduction, a discussion of legal considerations, information on the school nurse's role, and references. There are 53 appendixes with technical information for school nurses. (SM)
