Satan Goes to the Conspiracy Convention looks at the role that conspiracy theories play in American life and the current political climate. The book begins at a convention for therapists who uncover "memories" of past lives, extraterrestrials, and government mind control operations. From there, the reader will encounter Pizzagate enthusiasts, conspiracy entrepreneurs, Satanists, flat-earthers, and more. Ultimately, the author cautions that right-wing conspiracy culture is a fascist confidence trick that will only get more violent over the coming years. "Joseph L. Flatley goes where few journalists dare to tread: into the heart of America's conspiracy culture. Sociopaths, quack psychologists, targeted individuals, flat-earthers, antisemites, one world government freaks-no moldy rock is left unturned. Reading this book, first you'll want to laugh and then you'll want to run home and lock your doors. Because it makes one thing very clear: America's conspiracy culture is a lot less fringe, a lot more profitable, and a hell of a lot more right-wing and scary than most of us want to admit." - Yasha Levine, author of Surveillance Valley: The Secret Military History of the Internet "Joe Flatley is that rarest journalistic observer of conspiracy culture: deeply informed of its history and lineages, perfectly rational, and just sympathetic enough to know when harmless eccentricity and justified paranoia bleeds into malevolent madness. In these investigations he is at his best, deep-diving into worlds of belief where the CIA, Satan and the Occult are the only forces that matter." - Alexander Zaitchik, author of The Gilded Rage: A Wild Ride Through Donald Trump's America and Common Nonsense: Glenn Beck and the Triumph of Ignorance "Nobody gets inside the minds of conspiracy theorists and other American oddballs quite like Joe Flatley. This book is a pleasure to read-and a little frightening." - Matt Stroud, author of Thin Blue Lie: The Failure of High-Tech Policing "A haunting and intimate look into the darker corners of the conspiracy movement, Satan Goes to the Mind Control Convention explores the toxic practices used by groups who exploit and control people seeking help. Joseph L. Flatley clearly demonstrates the dangers they present to an America obsessed by conspiratorial thinking." - Pearse Redmond, host of Porkins Policy Radio and Open Minds On Air

It explains how the fallen angels pleaded with Enoch, their intercessor who spoke to God on their behalf. There are certain things that God did not forgive and how he would not give a second chance. Why was the flood poured out upon the earth? There were reasons that many do not realize. This book will give you a perspective of what exactly took place and who was to be blamed.

What is Satanism? The word has functioned as a powerful indictment of one's rivals, an expression of rebellion against authority, and sometimes to describe the deliberate worship of dark, supernatural forces. This Element provides a concise overview of Satanism from its origins in early modern Europe through the present. It covers such topics as legends of the black mass, hell-fire clubs, the Romantic Satanism of Lord Byron and Percy Shelley, and nineteenth-century occultists who expressed reverence for Satan. It describes modern Satanic religions including the Church of Satan, The Temple of Set, The Order of Nine Angles, The Satanic Temple, and others. It also addresses contemporary Satanic Panic from the 1980s through QAnon. This Element should prove useful to anyone seeking to learn more about this complicated and frequently misunderstood tradition.

The classic thriller about a hostile foreign power infiltrating American politics: “Brilliant . . . wild and exhilarating.” —The New Yorker A war hero and the recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor, Sgt. Raymond Shaw is keeping a deadly secret—even from himself. During his time as a prisoner of war in North Korea, he was brainwashed by his Communist captors and transformed into a deadly weapon—a sleeper assassin, programmed to kill without question or mercy at his captors’ signal. Now he’s been returned to the United States with a covert mission: to kill a candidate running for US president . . . This “shocking, tense” and sharply satirical novel has become a modern classic, and was the basis for two film adaptations (San Francisco Chronicle). “Crammed with suspense.” —Chicago Tribune “Condon is wickedly skillful.” —Time

In this book-length study of The Satanic Temple, Joseph Laycock, a scholar of new religious movements, contends that the emergence of "political Satanism" marks a significant moment in American religious history that will have a lasting impact on how Americans frame debates about religious freedom. Though the group gained attention for its strategic deployment of outrage, it claims to have developed beyond politics into a religious movement. Equal parts history and ethnography, Speak of the Devil demonstrates why religious Satanism is significant to larger conversations about the definition of religion, religious freedom, and religious tolerance.

This book was written to meet the need of therapists: a succinct, thorough, practical, clear, down-to-earth handbook to which a therapist can refer as needed. Many, if not most, therapists have encountered a victim of complex mind control and ritual abuse, and most therapists feel deskilled in this work. Working with such clients is a challenge for therapists, given the extreme and prolonged nature of the clients' trauma, the severity of their dissociative disorders, the complexity of the mind control they have experienced, and the reality of organised perpetrator groups who follow up on their victims. Every therapist needs to know the basics of this work. Chapter 1 defines and explains dissociation, ritual abuse, and mind control. It lists indicators which suggest a client may be a victim, and recommends developing 'reflective belief (or possibly) disbelief' rather than maintaining 'therapeutic neutrality'. Chapter 2, The therapeutic relationship, describes victims' training to not form bonds, the parental nature of the therapeutic bond with such clients, and practical ways to relate to someone dealing with internal multiplicity. Chapter 3, The life of a mind control survivor, describes victims' planned experiences from infancy all the way through adulthood. Chapter 4, Engineered personality systems, describes the most common forms of training or programming, and the 'jobs' of inner parts of the victim. Chapter 5, Stabilisation and internal safety, explains the way in which some parts punish the victim for disloyalty by creating destabilising symptoms. Chapter 6, Working with the personality system, describes internal hierarchies and how to work with them. Chapter 7, Present-day physical safety, looks at the ongoing torture and harassment of many victims by perpetrator groups, and describes the training of various parts to return to the perpetrators, report to them, and be available for further abuse. Chapter 8, Working through the traumatic memories, gives guidelines regarding how to help a client work through the numerous traumatic training memories. Chapter 9, Confronting the spiritual issues in ritual abuse, describes the perpetrators' spiritual/moral abuse and simulation of spiritual entities. It discusses the question of demonic possession, and looks at the real spiritual issues which victims and therapists must deal with. Chapter 10, Healing for our clients and ourselves, discusses victims' emotional healing, grieving, developing self-esteem and integration, and therapists' intimidation and vicarious traumatisation.
