Samuel Graves was born in England and emigrated to America about 1630. He settled in Lynn, Massachusetts. He had three sons - Thomas, Mark, and Samuel - all born in England between 1620 and 1630.

Samuel Graves and his family immigrated from England to Salem, Massachusetts in 1629/1630, later moving to Lynn, Massachusetts. Descendants lived in New England, Ohio, Indiana and elsewhere. Some descendants immigranted to New Brunswick and elsewhere in Canada.

Vincent Beckley Roberts was born 12 May 1901 in Racine, Wisconsin. His parents were Frank Mason Roberts (1859-1945) and Mary Helen Conroe (1872-1945). Traces descendants of his immigrant ancestors on several lines. Most of his ancestors came from England and settled in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
