John Burnett (1511-1686) was of supporter of the Royalist cause of King Charles I of England, and received a land grand in Essex County, Virginia in 1638. Later, when Oliver Cromwell took over the English government, John Burnett and his family immigrated from Scotland to old Rappahannock County, Virginia, where he died. His sons also took over the land in Essex County. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas and elsewhere. Includes family history and genealogical data in Scotland and England to 1066 A.D.

William Samuel Bell was born 22 March 1840 in Henderson Co., Tennessee. He was the son of Leander Bell and Nancy Ann Smith. William married Martha Jane Smith 22 February 1859 in Bolivar, Hardeman Co., Tennessee. They lived in Texas from 1860 to ca. 1868 and by the year 1870 moved to Arkansas. William and Martha were the parents of six children. Ancestors of William immigrated to America from Scotland prior to 1755 and settled in Pennsylvania. Descendants lived primarily in Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina and elsewhere.

John Hutchison was born in about 1745. He and his wife, Margaret, settled in Prince William County, Virginia in 1770. They had five known children. John died in 1825 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia and Oklahoma.
