The POROS Plan contains the Parks System's 20-year vision, goals, objectives, plan maps and policies, and implementation strategy. The guidelines found in the plan insure that with growth in population, and changes in economic and technological systems there is parallel growth and change in the areas set-aside for leisure-time activities. The POROS Planning Manual is a part of the POROS Plan. It provides maps, graphs, tables and text of background information, assessments and recommendations used in preparing the POROS Plan.
