Writes in full, As you are not in Town I have taken the liberty to draw on you in favor of Mr. Thomas Smith for 180 - the amount of your years rent but before I did it, I advised with your Brother who approved of my leaving an order, hope it will be agreeable to you.

Asks Wadsworth to please pay [Dollar sign]498 to Major William North. Noted as a copy.

Informs Knox that he is sending his son to New York City to collect the rent due.

Discusses payments related to the armory in Springfield, Massachusetts. Instructs Bryant to provide Jeremiah Wadsworth with a receipt of payment and to make two duplicates of the receipt. Also sends a list (not included) of items from the armory at Springfield, Massachusetts that Congress ordered to be sold.
