The Nansen Programme is a Norwegian bilateral research programme designed to assist developing countries in fisheries research and management. This report provides a summary of the fisheries in the Cãte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo and Benin; a summary of the results of the 1999 combined acoustic and bottom-trawl survey in the Western Gulf of Guinea; and the discussions of the pre-survey meeting regarding the 2000 survey.
