This book is the product of years of thought and a profound concern for the state of contemporary psychology. This book explores various explanatory frameworks for paranormal encounters. It opens with the story of an inexplicable human figure seen crossing a secluded hotel corridor, interpreted as a ghost by the sole witness. Based on ethnographic research, this book examines the paranormal investigation subculture in the US.
