Pendidikan merupakan suatu tugas yang mencabar. Baik sebagai guru di sekolah mahupun ibubapa di rumah, tugas mendidik dilihat sebagai suatu tanggungjawab. Justeru adakalanya menyebabkan kita terlepas pandang dengan melihat tugas mendidik hanyalah berlaku di sekolah sahaja. Oleh itu aktiviti meningkatkan pengetahuan, kefahaman dan kemahiran mendidik dianggap hanya perlu dilakukan oleh guru di sekolah. Buku ini menjelaskan mengapa setiap individu sebenarnya merupakan pendidik. Samada sebagai guru di sekolah, ibubapa di rumah, mahupun ahli masyarakat, kita semua perlu sentiasa berusaha menambah pengetahuan, meningkatkan kefahaman dan kemahiran dalam mendidik. Tanpa usaha meningkatkan kefahaman dan kemahiran maka proses mendidik anak-anak didik kita lebih menjurus kepada ‘trial and error’ dan merugikan. Dalam buku ini perbincangan tentang teori, kaedah, strategi dan pendekatan psikologi dalam mendidik telah dilakukan dengan membandingkannya dengan pengalaman-pengalaman seharian. Penulis telah dengan sengaja membandingkan pengalaman-pengalaman seharian yang beliau lalui baik sebagai guru di sekolah atau pensyarah di pusat pengajian tinggi mahupun sebagai bapa di rumah supaya kefahaman dan penguasaan kemahiran mendidik dapat difahami dengan lebih mudah. Menjadi harapan penulis supaya buku ini dijadikan sebagai rujukan tambahan berkenaan dengan proses memahami dan meningkatkan kemahiran mendidik dalam kalangan kita semua. Amiin.

The importance of comprehending Education Psychology for teachers or prospective teachers are firstly to comprehend the meaning of “learning”, including theories, principles, and distinctive characteristics of stu­dents’ behavior, and so on. Secondly, it is about learning process, which includes the stages of acts and events occurring in students’ learning activities. Then, it is about learning situation, which means both physical and non-physical circumstances and environmental con­ditions related to students’ learning activity. This module consists of 10 (ten) chapters, which entirely discuss about the three issues mentioned above as the obligation of the teacher in comprehending series of instruction which is involving their students.

World events have raised pressing questions of psychology as it is practiced all over the globe. The Handbook ofInternational Psychology chronicles the discipline of psychology as it evolves in different regions, in the hope of reducing the isolated, parochial, and ethnocentric nature of the American profession. It surveys the history, methodology, education and training, and the future of psychology in nine distinct regions across six continents. They represent long histories in the field, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, emerging practices, such as Uganda, Korea and Spain, the lesser-known philosophies of China and histories marked by massive social change, as in Poland and Iran. The editors have carefully selected contributors, as well as an editorial board created especially for this project. Each chapter follows a uniform outline, unifying the volume as a whole, but allowing for the cultural diversity and status of psychology in each country.

This is an open access book. The International Conference on Education, Humanities, and Social Science (ICEHoS) is an activity in the form of an international conference by presenting new studies and research results in the fields of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program is the organizer of this international conference. ICEHoS is the second conference held by us and will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 Pandemic which has not shown a better situation.The 2nd ICEHoS 2022 conference is expected to be able to bring together national and international scale researchers, academics, practitioners, students, and community and industry activists in our chosen fields. This is an open access book. The ecological concept views that human development is influenced by the environmental context. The relationship between the two is reciprocal and has an important influence on one another, as well as on the conditions of post-pandemic education. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an important impact on human life, particularly on education. Conventional learning patterns shift to online mechanisms which of course have advantages and disadvantages, especially in people in developing countries like Indonesia. Lack of interaction due to the pandemic impacts student behaviour, such as learning and coping difficulties (Pavin Ivanec, T., 2022). An important issue that needs serious attention in education, as well as mental health practices in schools after the pandemic, is human development efforts through education which minimizes inequality in education and the relevance of education which is no longer adequate. This can be achieved if Education is geared toward empowering students to engage with real social issues so as to promote a sustainable future. Schools and all existing stakeholders (guidance and counseling teachers/school counselors) can contribute to facilitating sustainable human development through an ethical dimension and presenting an educational model that is able to build students’ self-confidence (Curry-Stevens, 2007). In the end, it is hoped that the efforts of this educational institution can support the achievement of the SDGs, especially in the area of ​​education, which has been proclaimed since the 2000s through the millennium declaration by countries in the world.

The 1st NICCT (International Conference on Creativity & Technology) 2019 was held in Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan (UHN Medan), Indonesia on September 20-21, 2019. This conference was organized by Department of Music, Faculty of Language and Arts, UHN and the theme of this year conference was Empowering Culture, Nature and Technology for Social Well Being. This conference has facilitated a mutual exchange of ideas and information from various backgrounds of stakeholder (either domestic or international) related to the utilization of recent technologies. High enthusiasm coming from the participants of this conference was reflected by high number of good quality papers received.
