The geological relations of these disturbed tracts were discussed on that occasion, and I do not propose to refer to them now. But the most interest in g problem connected with these contorted rocks is the circumstance that they are bent so sharply without fracture. On this subject I formerly offered a few remarks, and cited some incomplete experiments.
