GPO's ongoing transition to a more electronic pub's., incl. budget cuts to the program contained in GPO's FY2001 appropriations bill, was a primary focus of the event. The Census Bureau and STAT-USA, the Nat. Imagery and Mapping Agency, the Forest Service, the Dept. of Energy, and others presented updates on their agencies' public info. activities and products. NCLIS provided a status report on its review of the Fed. Government's info. dissemination activities. Concurrent tech. and info. sessions included digital archiving, economic statistics, Presidential libraries, and library grants.
